A beautiful, but bittersweet, start to the year on our little island. Only a few hours old and 2017 had already brought tragedy for one family and extreme anxiety for another, as well as the joyful celebrations of family and friendship experienced by most. All of this made it even more important than ever to spend the day enjoying and appreciating family. A windy but glorious walk to Sailean and back was one of the highlights of our day, especially for the children...four legged, as well as two legged.
